This particular crest is a "combination" crest, combining the crests of Bushnell and Seymour...
Bushnell on upper left and lower right, Seymour on upper right and lower left.
The Seymore line can be connected to some of the Kings of England
but it is based on starting
with the Wife of Joshua #26 (Mary Seymour, Great Grand Daughter of Sir Edward Seymour, Lord Protector
of England and Duke of Sommerset)
This is a gif file of size 36 KB measuring 4.25 inches by 5 inches
According to our "big book" (by George E. Bushnell) Joshua#26 married a Mary Seamer.
Euphonically ("sounds like"), "Seamer" is quite close to "Seymour". "Mary Seamer", our book says,
"was the daughter of Thomas Seamer and Hannah Marvin and the grandaughter of Richard Seamer."
If you repeat that sentence, but spell "Seamer" as "Seymour" then the same given names with the correct
spelling allow one to pick up in English Geneology.
Scott's father, Reginald # 3879, (1916-2000), traced this so any
Bushnell descendant of Joshua#26 can extend his line as follows:
